Roaring into 2018!
With 2017 in the rear view mirror, it is time to start looking ahead to what is coming up this year! Here is what you can expect from our team here at NCFCA:
Our new peer support and navigation program will be launching. We are looking for volunteers to help out cancer support team if you have any interest please let us know!
Our exciting new training video discussing proper decontamination from start to finish will be debuting at the Midwinters Chiefs conference in Concord the first week in February.
We will be live and in person at Midwinters Chiefs and we want to meet all of our friends and hopefully make a whole bunch more! Come by our booth and say hello!
We will be hosting our first annual North Carolina Cancer Summit on January 28th at Concord Fire Station #9. See our events section for more details! Any department, company, or organization that is working on the problem of Firefighter Cancer is invited to attend for this round-table discussion.
We are rolling our our new on-site educational programs that can be delivered at your departments, please send us a message if you are interested in having us come to your department.
We are also about to make available the NC Firefighter Cancer Alliance Model Carcinogen Exposure Reduction SOG template to help individual departments move forward in setting up their own programs.
Finally we are looking to make more friends and sponsors as we move through 2018 to help us accomplish our important mission.
